The primary goal of free medical camps is to raise awareness among the nation’s those in need, who lack access to basic healthcare services and are unaware of the diseases they suffer from. Therefore, health camps offer disadvantaged people free medical advice and medication, as well as recommendations for specialized care or surgery when needed. These camps ensure that individuals receive healthcare at the appropriate time and visit a doctor before a minor health issue develops.
The Pithoragarh Institute of Biomedical Sciences and Pithoragarh College of Nursing, a unit of the Pithoragarh Group of Institutions, organized a medical health camp in Pithoragarh at Gangotri Garbyal Government Inter College Pithoragarh, where we performed several standard health examinations, such as measuring blood pressure, weight, hemoglobin, blood group, and random blood sugar. The program’s goals were to educate students about their health and education and to get them ready for the future.
Afterward, the respected principal, Mrs. Kalpana Arya, the vice principal, Miss Shahzadi Gausiya, as well as Mrs. Hema, Mrs. Usha, Mrs. Rama, Mrs. Kavita, and Miss Vinita, accompanied the program. The pupils were guided and inspired for their future by Mrs. Sushma Pandey, Mrs. Nirmala, Mr. Kamlesh Bisht, Mrs. Jeewanti Khati, and Mrs. Meena, who also enhanced their talents for personal growth.
The program was highly praised by the principal, and she conveyed gratitude for the initiative and indicated a wish to have more health camps at school in the future, highlighting the significance of improving children’s well-being in addition to their education. She was impressed by the beneficial impact of the program.
