The Pithoragarh Group of Institutions Organize World AIDS Day Awareness Programs

On December 1st, 2023, the Pithoragarh Institute of Biomedical Sciences and Pithoragarh College of Nursing, both units of the Pithoragarh Group of Institutions, the only college in Pithoragarh Kumaon, Uttarakhand, organized a series of awareness programs in observance of World AIDS Day. Nursing and paramedical students and faculty members actively participated in raising awareness about AIDS among students from other departments and faculty members.

A variety of activities were held, including speeches and presentations, all centered on the theme of World AIDS Day.” The goal of these activities was to educate others department about AIDS, its transmission, and prevention methods. The participants emphasized the importance of dispelling the myths and misconceptions surrounding AIDS and promoting compassion and inclusivity toward those affected by the disease.
