On 30th August 2025, the Pithoragarh College of Nursing, under PGI Pithoragarh, successfully conducted the Student Nurses Association (SNA) elections. This event was a milestone in promoting student leadership, democratic participation, and professional growth among budding nursing professionals.
The Student Nurses Association (SNA) is a student-led body that aims to foster professional, educational, and social development for nursing students. Through this election, students were given the opportunity to practice leadership, represent their peers, and actively participate in shaping their academic and professional environment.

Election Process & Guidelines
The election was carried out under a transparent and democratic framework, including:

➡️ Elections Committee – Oversight ensured fair and unbiased proceedings.
➡️ Eligibility – Only eligible nursing students were allowed to contest/vote.
➡️ Voting – Conducted systematically to ensure fair representation.
➡️ Results & Oath – Winners were announced and took an official oath to uphold their duties and responsibilities towards the SNA.
Guidance & Acknowledgement
The entire election process was successfully conducted under the guidance and judgment of Principal, Mrs. Elizabeth Abraham, whose mentorship ensured discipline, fairness, and encouragement for all participants.
The elected leaders now carry the responsibility to foster student participation, professional development, and institutional growth at PGI College of Nursing.
