BSc Horticulture
BSc Horticulture is a four-year undergraduate course that deals with the science of breeding (both Conventional and Hybrid) vegetables, cereals, fruits, orchids and other plants.
A division of agriculture known as horticulture focuses primarily on the study of pomology (the science of fruits), olericulture (the science of vegetables), and floriculture (the science of flowers). Horticulture encompasses a wide range of additional fields, including soil science, post-harvest management, genetics and plant breeding, food technology, plant pathology, and entomology. In other words, it primarily focuses on the management of plants, fruit, and vegetable crops, farming, marketing (import & export), processing, storage, and packaging of food crops, as well as landscaping, gardening, and other equipment.
This course equips us with the fundamental knowledge necessary for managing orchards, maintaining landscaping, conserving plants, managing soil, and growing new plants. It equips us with the fundamental knowledge needed to maximize our financial gain from crop production.
