महिला यौन उत्पीड़न और साइबर अपराध: जागरूकता और सशक्तिकरण

02 फरवरी, 2024 को, पिथौरागढ़ ग्रुप ऑफ इंस्टीट्यूशंस (पीजीआई) को सिविल जज श्रीमती विभा मैडम (सिविल जज सीनियर डिविजन/सचिव डीएलएसए, पिथौरागढ़) की मेजबानी करने का सौभाग्य प्राप्त हुआ। विशिष्ट अतिथि ने पीजीआई के छात्रों के लिए महिला यौन उत्पीड़न और साइबर अपराध से संबंधित मुद्दों पर एक इंटरैक्टिव सत्र आयोजित किया।

POSH अधिनियम और महिलाओं के अधिकार:

सत्र के दौरान, श्रीमती विभा यादव ने छात्रों को POSH अधिनियम से परिचित कराया और यह बताया कि यह कार्यस्थल में यौन उत्पीड़न की चिंताओं को कैसे संबोधित करता है। उन्होंने महिला छात्रों और संकाय सदस्यों को उनके अधिकारों और भारतीय दंड संहिता (आईपीसी) की प्रासंगिक धाराओं के बारे में भी बताया, जिससे ऐसी स्थितियों का सामना करने की स्थिति में जागरूक रहना चाहिए।

साइबर अपराधों की बढ़ती समस्या:

इसके अलावा, जज मैडम ने प्रचलित साइबर अपराधों के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाई और इन मुद्दों को समझने और उनसे निपटने की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया। उन्होंने साइबर अपराधों के विभिन्न प्रकारों, जैसे कि ऑनलाइन उत्पीड़न, धमकी, धोखाधड़ी, और पहचान की चोरी के बारे में जानकारी प्रदान की।

सत्र का उद्देश्य:

सत्र का प्राथमिक लक्ष्य छात्रों और महिला संकाय सदस्यों को यौन उत्पीड़न से संबंधित गतिविधियों और अधिकारों के बारे में जानकारी देकर सशक्त बनाना था, ताकि वे ऐसी सामाजिक समस्याओं के खिलाफ सक्रिय कदम उठा सकें।

PGI Pithoragarh College Opens Doors to Dewalthal School Students with Sessional Visit

On December 9, 2023, PGI Pithoragarh College, the only top and best educational institution in Pithoragarh, Kumaun, Uttarakhand, hosted a special session for students of ATAL UTKRISHT VIDYALAYA – GIC DEWALTHAL School. This visit aimed to provide students with a general overview of the various courses offered by the college, i.e., nursing, paramedical, computer & IT, hotel management, management, and agriculture programs, and guide them towards potential career paths after completing their intermediate education.

Creating Opportunities:

The session began with a warm welcome from the college administration, followed by educational presentations by faculty members from various departments. The presentations covered each department’s curriculum, highlighting the key areas of study, career opportunities associated with each course, and the skillsets students would acquire. Students were taken on a tour of the campus, where they got to see the facilities and infrastructure that PGI Pithoragarh provides.

The Pithoragarh Group of Institutions Organize World AIDS Day Awareness Programs

On December 1st, 2023, the Pithoragarh Institute of Biomedical Sciences and Pithoragarh College of Nursing, both units of the Pithoragarh Group of Institutions, the only college in Pithoragarh Kumaon, Uttarakhand, organized a series of awareness programs in observance of World AIDS Day. Nursing and paramedical students and faculty members actively participated in raising awareness about AIDS among students from other departments and faculty members.

A variety of activities were held, including speeches and presentations, all centered on the theme of “World AIDS Day.” The goal of these activities was to educate others department about AIDS, its transmission, and prevention methods. The participants emphasized the importance of dispelling the myths and misconceptions surrounding AIDS and promoting compassion and inclusivity toward those affected by the disease.
